Let Me See It For Myself

These images can only very feebly begin to hint
at the power of the original at the
Cleveland Museum of Art
because there is it truly mesmerizing to behold.

  1. This image must rank among the absolute masterpieces of landscape painting ever. I agree with you - it is truly amazing to see it in the original. It was there, that I noticed that the tree trunk in the foreground actually forms a cross. Now that can hardly be a coincidence... ET
